WILMER – The City of Wilmer will be hosting a community emergency preparedness workshop next week on Tuesday, March 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at 101 Davidson Plaza.
Presented in partnership with Prepare Today Ready Tomorrow, the workshop will include:
• Understanding local weather hazards
• Home preparedness tips
• Creating emergency family plans
• Building emergency kits
Local community resources will additionally be discussed as well as hands-on activities designed for families.
A limited quantity of resilience kits will also be offered to those in attendance.
“Wilmer is excited to offer our residents this important workshop, which will create confidence in those who might someday encounter emergencies making sure they are ready for any unexpected event,” said Wilmer Mayor Sheila Petta. “Knowledge is power and one never knows when emergency preparedness can save your life and well as the lives of those you love.”
