WILMER – Parkland Heath held a listening session earlier this week at the City of Wilmer Fire Station.
Parkland Health is exploring what necessary healthcare and support services could be needed in the Inland Port area with its continued growth. The emphasized cities included Wilmer, Hutchins, DeSoto, Lancaster and Southern Dallas.
Parkland invited those in these communities who live and work in the area to the listening session to obtain input from residents, employers, and community organizations.
The overall idea was to allow stakeholders to share their perspectives and help identify the most pressing health and support service needs across the Inland Port.
For those not able to attend the session this week, Parkland Health is planning a virtual listening session June 11.
