WAXAHACHIE – A 40-year-old Waxahachie woman was arrested last Friday, Jan. 17 for manufacturing or delivery of a controlled substance, a second-degree felony.
Erin Leigh Martinez was taken into custody at the scene when the Waxahachie Police Department, alongside the Southern Regional Response Group, served a search warrant in the 600 block of West Jefferson.
Waxahachie Police Department’s Facebook page stated, “After receiving reports of possible drug activity, patrol elements from the Waxahachie Police Department began working in the area.
“Based on information obtained from patrol’s proactive police work, the Criminal Investigation Division obtained a search warrant for the residence.”
The search warrant was served successfully with no injuries to individuals inside the residence or law enforcement officers.
Martinez’ bond has been set at $20,000.
