WAXAHACHIE – To date, Waxahachie has not been able to obtain the approval for City Hall road repair at Fifth Street and Morton.
This item to obtain approval for repair will be addressed at the Jan. 12, 2026 city council meeting, requiring an official vote for the repair to be done.
Waxahachie City Council is asking residents for input into the matter either at the meeting on Jan. 12 or beforehand.
As a reminder, according to the Waxahachie City website the City Hall remodel and construction project includes remodeling the 1914 and 1950 structures and building a new attached three-story building.
“The new building’s footprint will be smaller and more efficient than the previous structure, allowing more parking” the website explained.
The estimated completion date is Spring 2026 with a budget of $15.8M from General Funds and Certificates of Obligation.
