ELLIS COUNTY – So you don’t end up in heavy traffic this month, here’s a list of Ellis County road improvements, lane closures and new stop signs.
In Ovilla, roadway marking improvements are underway as of this past Monday.
The City had received concerns from residents regarding deteriorated roadway markings in the area of Cockrell Hill Road from Westlawn Drive to Ovilla Road (F.M. 664).
In response, crews have begun repainting these roadway markings, and motorists are asked to use caution, remain alert, and follow any posted signage and crew directions while traveling through the area.
In Red Oak, more lane closures and detours began this past Monday when a contractor began pavement repairs on sections of Red Oak Road west of I-35.
Work is expected to last approximately three weeks.
During this time, motorists can expect closures and detours with traffic routed via Parks Branch Road or Creekview Drive.
Waxahachie just installed a new four-way stop sign at the intersection of Northgrove Boulevard and Vista Way due to increased traffic in the area.
