Rollover sends driver to hospital

ENNIS – On Monday, Aug. 19 at approximately 7:49 p.m., Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers were called to a one-vehicle crash on northbound Interstate 45 just south of FM 1182.

Preliminary investigation indicatesa green Honda Accord was traveling north on I-45 and for an as of yet undetermined reason drove off the roadway to the right and rolled multiple times coming to rest on the east service road.

The driver, 25 year-old, Mariah Rios, of Waxahachie was ejected from the vehicle and suffered life-threatening injuries.

She was flown by air ambulance to Parkland Hospital in Dallas.

The investigation is still ongoing, and there is no other information at this time.
