RED OAK – There has never been a better time to show appreciation for all the staff and teachers at the local area schools.

The City of Red Oak’s ISD Teacher/Staff Appreciation week kicked off Monday at the local Chick-fil-A, with all elementary campus employees being honored.

Tuesday was all middle schools and the high school campus employees, and Wednesday, May 6 all non-campus employees.

“It is important to me to always let teachers and staff know how much I appreciate and value their passion and dedication to Red Oak ISD. They have proven to be even more amazing than imaginable during this unprecedented, trying time – so I wanted to give them a little something to let them know I recognized their hard work and continued drive to serve their students and district,” said Brenda Sanford, Red Oak ISD Superintendent.

Red Oak ISD employees were shown appreciation by receiving a free Chick-fil-A breakfast. There was also music, the Red Oak mascot made an appearance, and everyone enjoyed a fun, party atmosphere.

Beth Trimble, Red Oak ISD Executive Director of Communications said the district has explored different options for showing appreciation in the past, but Chick-fil-A is always a supporter of the school district.

“We wanted to do something that was easy for people to get to, and where we could also come be a part of too,” Trimble said.
