RED OAK – Red Oak is welcoming Adrian Tijerina, as the new police chief.
Tijerin recently served as Assistant Chief of Police for the City of Duncanville.
He will officially begin serving on March 2, 2026.
Tijerin brings 25 years of law enforcement experience to his new job as well as prior military service, and a strong background in leadership, operations, and community-focused policing.
In Duncanville, he also led strategic planning, managed department operations, and supervised a team of sworn officers and professional staff.
Tijerina was chosen out of 58 applicants who applied for the open position “for his leadership, integrity, and commitment to building strong relationships and community trust,” according to a City of Red Oak Facebook announcement.
