RED OAK – Three suspects were arrested last week on aggravated robbery charges in the city of Red Oak.
Revelation Jefferson, 17 from Dallas and Lemarcus Darell Ladd, 19 from Dallas were arrested on aggravated robbery charges as well as a third unnamed suspect.
Ladd was also charged with an outstanding warrant out of the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office also for aggravated robbery.
The three suspects were arrested after Red Oak police were called to the 900 block of W. Red Oak Road on Nov. 27 at approximately 11:43 p.m.
The caller referenced a suspicious person requesting someone call the police. Upon arrival, Red Oak Police talked to the suspicious person who said he had been in a vehicle with three black male subjects buying marijuana in Glenn Heights.
On return from the marijuana purchase as the suspicious person and three suspects drove through Red Oak, the reporting person said he had been robbed at gunpoint in the 100 block of Uhl Road.
Two of the three suspects got out of the car, a silver Ford Focus and the third suspect pulled a firearm out and robbed the reporting person of his valuables. This included a Motel 6 motel key in the city of Lancaster.
After the robbery, the suspects fled the area in the auto and left the uninjured reporting person on the side of the road.
A welfare check at the Motel 6 was requested by Red Oak Police and conducted by the Lancaster Police Department.
Upon arrival, Lancaster Police found two of the three suspects. Both suspects were detained.
Red Oak Police arrived at the Motel 6 and arrested Jefferson and Ladd for aggravated robbery.
Police also found items belonging to the reporting person, recovered from one of the defendants at the scene.
The suspects were taken to the Red Oak city jail without incident.
