RED OAK – The family-owned-and-operated B&B Theatres is finally open at 609 N. Interstate 35 East Service Road in Red Oak.

Over the last few weeks there were test nights offered to media and influencers, and last week an opening gala.

Being referred to as a luxury entertainment center, the theatre opened to a limited schedule beginning March 21 with a limited capacity.

This week on Thursday, March 28 after the soft opening, the entertainment center will be open “full bore” according to Paul Farnsworth, executive director of communications and content.

Farnsworth said B&B Theatres offers traditional concession fare (popcorn, sodas, nachos, candy, hot dogs, cotton candy, etc.) but will also have a full kitchen serving both Food-to-Go and Sterling’s concepts.

“Food-to-Go offers made-to-order hot food that can be taken anywhere in the building and includes items like burgers, fries, chicken tenders, onion rings, flatbread pizzas, and chicken sandwiches,” Farnsworth explained.

“Sterling’s is more of a sit-down, fast-casual kind of place offering larger pizzas, salads, and heartier entrees, appetizers, and desserts.”

There are 12 auditoriums in the building and “some truly incredible ways to enjoy the magic of the movies,” Farnsworth touted.

Each cinema auditorium features wide, leather, electric heated reclining seats, so comfort is assured.

The entire facility is also equipped with laser projectors from Barco, creating a dynamic presentation and the best and most consistent color and brightness.

The theatrical amenities also include two B&B Grand Screens, premium large format option and two of the largest in the nation. Each features DTS-X immersive digital surround sound.

One of the Grand Screens is also a ScreenX house, the world’s first multi-projection platform. ScreenX employs several projectors to create a consistent and expansive image on the two auditorium sidewalls resulting in a 270 degree immersive viewing experience.
