MIDLOTHIAN – The Midlothian Police Department was able to identify at least four individuals responsible for vandalism at Midlothian Community Park last week within an hour of a Facebook post regarding the offense.
On April 29, police identified the suspects who entered the park’s restrooms by their images, captured by the new security cameras located throughout the park.
Midlothian Assistant Police Chief Scott Brown said two of the suspects called and turned themselves in to detectives.
While Brown did not know the level of the offenses the men were facing, he said the names of the men were not released due to their cooperation with police.
The men will not be prosecuted after agreeing to work with the parks department to take care of the damages they caused to the community park restrooms.
