Maypearl artist Debob Jacob to demonstrate oil painting techniques

WAXAHACHIE – Debob Jacob, artist from Maypearl, will be doing a demonstration in oil painting for The Ellis County Art Association at their monthly meeting, Aug. 5 at First Baptist Church of Waxahachie (450 US287 BYP). 

Jacob’s has earned numerous awards, including the Grumbacher Medallion and the Bosque County Conservatory of Fine Art’s Fellowship Award. 

The public is encouraged to attend the demonstration.

“Outdoor scenes and pure nature are a constant source of inspiration,” Jacob said. 

“I am proud to be a painter. I am consumed by the sheer joy of the creative process and by the magic of translating inspiration into the reality of a completed canvas.” 

Jacob paints all subject matter, but loves the Southwestern flavor.

The meeting at FBC is open to everyone and begins at 6 p.m. with refreshments and socializing. Announcements and business will start at 6:30, and the demonstration will begin at 7 p.m.
