ELLIS COUNTY – While most people are aware of the road construction and traffic on Ovilla Road and I-35, here are a few more closings to be aware.
Road work began in Midlothian this past Monday on North 8th Street, between West Avenue C and West Avenue D.
The road is closed for the replacement of 12 roadway panels, according to Midlothian City Hall.
There are detour signs and barricades to guide motorists to the alternate route.
Midlothian officials believe the road work should take no more than seven days – depending on the weather.
In Red Oak, the Splash Pad and large playground at the Community Park are also closed this week for a refresh and should be re-opened by the weekend.
