WILMER – Laura Russell, dispatcher, dedicated over 27 years of her life to serving the City of Wilmer and our community has passed away.
“Laura was more than just a voice on the other end of the line, she was a lifeline, a calm presence in moments of chaos, and a true cornerstone of our department, said Wilmer Chief Victor Kemp.
“Her unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of our community was evident in every shift she worked, every call she answered, and every life she touched.
“For over two decades, Laura exemplified what it means to serve with compassion, professionalism, and heart.
“Her dedication and kindness left an indelible mark not only on our department but on the entire Wilmer community.
She will be deeply missed by her family here at the Wilmer Police Department, as well as by the countless lives she impacted during her remarkable career.
