FERRIS – The City of Ferris Animal Services will join nearly 300 animal shelters and rescue groups across the county to participate in the Bring Love Home Challenge, a nationwide effort to help more cats and dogs find homes this December.
Led by Best Friends Animal Society, a leading national animal welfare organization, the challenge aims to increase lifesaving adoptions, and participants will be eligible to receive grant funding.
In conjunction with the challenge, Ferris Animal Services will be hosting adoption events on Dec. 5, 20 and 21 with pet adoption fees waived.
• Bring Love Home Holiday Adoption Event 1 on Saturday, Dec. 6 at Christmas on the Square in downtown Ferris, 2 – 5 p.m.
• Bring Love Home Weekend Adoption Event 2 & 3 on Saturday, Dec. 20 and Sunday Dec. 21 at the Ferris Animal Shelter, 1200 N Central St, Ferris. 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

“This initiative uplifts shelters committed to removing barriers to adoption, expanding community access, and strengthening ethical, conversation-based adoption practices.”
