FERRIS TO PROVIDE ECONOMIC STIMULUS

Business Response Investment Cash Kickoff Card is designed to help local businesses

FERRIS – The city of Ferris, in an effort to help local businesses keep the economy moving, will be sending a $35 BRICK Card to local residents.

“The city of Ferris cares for everyone in our community, and we want to help in these tough times,” stated City Manager Brooks Williams.

“This includes helping our restaurants and retailers impacted by Covid-19.

“In a few weeks, each address in the city limits of Ferris will receive a $35 Ferris To-Go gift post-card to use at any of your favorite restaurants or retailers in Ferris.”

Williams said at the time of purchase, the Ferris business will provide the discount.

No minimum purchase is required, but the Ferris BRICK Card can only be used once.

The BRICK card is not redeemable for cash, and no change will be provided to purchase below $35, and it must be used in the city limits of Ferris.

The gift post-card must be used by Apr. 30, 2020. If a business is not able to provide the upfront discount, residents can obtain reimbursement by mailing the card to Ferris City Hall, 100 Town Plaza, Ferris, TX 75125, with an attached valid receipt post-marked no later than May 1, 2020.

Funding for the project will be provided through the Ferris Economic Development Corporation from sales tax collected in the city, jointly split between the 4A and 4B Boards. The estimated stimulus is $36,000.

“Thank you for shopping local and supporting Ferris restaurants and retailers,” Brooks concluded.
