ELLIS COUNTY – In addition to the two Ellis County Special Elections in the City of Grand Prairie and Ennis, City Council and ISD School Board seat elections are right around the corner.

Ennis and Grand Prairie Special Elections are Saturday, Jan. 31 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

City of Ennis is electing a Mayor for an unexpired term, and a Mayor Pro Tem, At Large for an unexpired term.

Grand Prairie called its Special Election to fill the City Council Place 8 At-Large vacancy following the unexpired term created by a recent departure.

The deadline for applications for the upcoming May 2 election is Feb. 13.
