We are looking forward to Ellis County Farm Heritage Day at the Farm, 2 - 5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 21.
Putting on this event and making it enjoyable and beneficial for visitors requires a lot of volunteers. While many of the positions are filled, we still have openings in certain areas for both the first shift (1:45–3:30 p.m.) and the second shift 3:30 – 5:15 p.m.).
Some positions are associated with helping children experience farm chores of the past and others are as docents guiding families through the farmhouse.
Both inside and shaded outside positions are available.
While you may have visited the Farm before, your involvement as a volunteer docent could be a new and rewarding experience.
Enjoy the Farm from a different perspective by helping to provide families, and especially their children, a fun and interactive educational experience.
