ELLIS COUNTY – Founded in 1982, Ellis County Republican Women has served for more than four decades as a leading force for civic engagement, voter education, and Republican grassroots involvement in Ellis County.
As an official chapter of both the Texas Federation of Republican Women and the National Federation of Republican Women, ECRW is part of one of the most influential women’s political networks in the United States.
From its earliest days, ECRW has focused on advancing informed citizenship, promoting constitutional principles, and equipping women to lead in their communities. The club’s mission reflects the broader goals of TFRW, founded in 1955, and NFRW, founded in 1938 – organizations dedicated to strengthening the Republican Party through education, leadership development, and grassroots activism.
Current President Samantha Buford said Ellis County Republican Women proudly stand for faith, family, and freedom.
Together, we are engaging our community, empowering women, and influencing policy to uphold conservative values across Ellis County and beyond.
Throughout its history, ECRW has developed and sustained hallmark programs that continue to make a meaningful impact across Ellis County.
These include the Constitution Project, which provides pocketsized copies of the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence to fifth-grade students; the ECRW Scholarship Program, supporting graduating seniors across local school districts; and literacy initiatives.
In addition to its educational outreach, ECRW has long been recognized for its volunteerism, community partnerships, and active participation in local events, parades, and electionyear engagement.
Members contribute thousands of hours each year to voter registration efforts, candidate support, and public service activities that strengthen the Republican presence in Ellis County.
Today, Ellis County Republican Women continues its mission with the same commitment that defined its founding in 1982 – promoting education, leadership, and civic responsibility while championing the values of faith, family, and freedom throughout Ellis County.
ECRW warmly invites all Ellis County women and men to join ECRW’s monthly meetings, held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Waxahachie Community Center, 630 Farley Street in Waxahachie.
New members, returning members, and guests are always welcome as the organization continues to grow and strengthen Republican leadership throughout the county.
