ELLIS COUNTY – The Texas Education Agency (TEA) accountability ratings are out for Ellis County schools – and they aren’t great.
Ratings for the ISD’s in the county are for 2023, and of the ISD’s listed below, only Midlothian and Palmer got above a C score.
The accountability overview manual states TEA uses this accountability system to evaluate the academic performance of Texas public schools.
“The 2023 Accountability Manual attempts to address all possible scenarios; however, because of the number and diversity of districts and campuses in Texas, there could be unforeseen circumstances that are not anticipated in the manual.”
The accountability system overall evaluates performance according to student achievement, school progress and closing the gaps, which the report indicates is related to “differentials among racial/ethnic groups, socioeconomic background, and other factors.”
