ELLIS COUNTY – Ellis County Commissioners approved the installation of a stop sign at the intersection of Angus Road and Hoyt Road in Comm. Louis Ponder’s Road and Bridges Precinct 3.
No one spoke at the public hearing for or against the agenda item.
Ellis County Engineer Zachary Gerich explained the need for the stop sign was due to new development in that area.
“As part of the new development the developer put in a new piece of road, Angus Road and it follows our alignment for our thorough plan,” Gerich said.
“Hoyt Road has now turned into a connector so at those two intersections we are proposing putting in the stop signs for public safety.
“It will follow the manual of uniform control devices as far as placement and sign locations.”
This item was tabled several weeks ago for the street names to be corrected with Hoyt Circle no longer existing.
