WAXAHACHIE – Art lovers and collectors will have the opportunity to purchase original works from Ellis County artists during the Ellis County Art Association’s Sizzling Summer Art Show July 17-22 at the Beaudry Gallery in downtown Waxahachie.
The exhibit will feature landscapes, portraits, wildlife, still life and other subjects in oil, watercolor, pastel, photography and three-dimensional art.
The juried exhibition will include professional and non-professional categories, with artists exhibiting up to three original works, all offered for sale.
Judging will be done by Plano artist Gene Dillard, an accomplished portrait and contemporary painter whose work has earned regional recognition.
The show is the association’s first official member exhibition of the year and typically features work by many local artists.
Original artwork will be available in a variety of sizes and price ranges beginning Friday, July 17 at the reception which begins at 6 p.m.
The exhibit will remain open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through July 22, giving visitors several opportunities to browse and purchase original artwork.
The Beaudry Gallery is located at 212 South Rogers, Waxahachie.
