The Ellis County Art Association will host artist Wendy Davis at the monthly meeting, May 6 at First Baptist Church of Waxahachie (450 US287 BYP). The meeting is open to the public.
Davis lives in Waco, Texas and her work has been exhibited internationally, nationally and locally from California, Oregon and Texas, to Abu Dhabi. Her most recent shows have been in galleries and juried art markets in Dallas, Waco and Austin.
Davis uses medium-bodied acrylic paints and broad-brush strokes to create depth and texture in a loose and lively style. Her inspiration to create often comes from nature and her travels.
The meeting at FBC is open to everyone and begins at 6 p.m. with refreshments and socializing. Announcements and business will start at 6:30, and the demo will begin at 7.
