FERRIS – Okay, so maybe I am a little biased.
After all, the idea for ECP-TV began in a little office as a dream.
Then we moved into a bigger office to have bigger dreams.
The Ellis County Press owner (and also, the producer of these shows) Charles D. Hatfield Jr., decided to build a studio in the basement with a big green screen that no one could mistake for anything other than “a studio” space.
Recently, ECP-TV grew again.
This time, the studio was moved from the basement to an entire part of The Ellis County Press building dedicated solely to studio space.
In fact, there are two studio spaces inside now.
And did I mention the billboard ECP-TV has going on up in December on Interstate 45 north with the smiling happy faces of Tommy Scott and I reminding people to tune in to the show.
Currently these shows can be seen on the newspaper website at www.elliscountypress.com or https:// www.facebook.com/elliscountypress/.
The green screen is back too, at least in half the studio space where the original show, ECP-TV is shot.
ECP-TV with me and my co-host (and now Mayor Pro Tem of Ferris) Scott film the show every week.
We update viewers on what happened during the past week in Ellis and southern Dallas County and we talk about what we featured in the paper.
Other shows that have branched out from ECP-TV are “Pretty Girls Review” with Rita Cook and Amber Hall, “Politics and How it Affects You” and several more upcoming shows.
In the second studio is a podcast setup where podcasts can be shot easily. Producer Len Baxley has a host of shows coming from that space – including a show about animals.
Ellis County is growing and so is Ellis County Press and ECP-TV with a tag-line, “Because the World is Watching.”
And we hope the folks in Ellis County are watching too.
You can learn more about ECP-TV and the studios at https://ecp-tv.com/.
The studios can also be rented out. Whether you need a crew or just a space it is available locally now and just part of the growth of Ellis County.
