WAXAHACHIE – Time to play ball in Waxahachie as the city welcomes back for another year the 2026 DFW World Youth Baseball Classic at the Waxahachie Sports Complex.
The baseball classic takes place from July 31 to August 3.
The event brings talented young athletes from around the world to the area, offering an international footprint with over 70 elite youth teams and thousands of players from across the United States, Mexico, Italy, and Spain.
The tournament has been running for three years, and is usually held at the Waxahachie Sports Complex.
The tournament is also highly anticipated in the regional and international youth sports community due to its opening ceremonies featuring an Olympic-style march where youth athletes proudly wear their country or state colors.
In addition to the standard bracket games, the event hosts Friday night showcase events that offer a Team Home Run Derby, an “Around the Horn” infield squad challenge, and a “Fastest Man” base-running sprint.
The event offers a unique world championship atmosphere for kids from ages 6U through 16U.
