FERRIS – Newleaf Village, a planned development located between Ferris Road and FM 664, was approved Tuesday by the Ferris Planning and Zoning Commission and City Council.
The project is two lots (15.63 acres) that will be developed by VIMO Casa, LLC.
Currently the property is owned by Covenant Church, which has two structures located to the west of the subject property.
The site is undeveloped and is encumbered by tree cover and a natural drainage channel on the eastern half of the property that feeds into the Long Branch Creek floodplain off site.
The site has not been platted, therefore, platting and preliminary utility studies will be required as the first step in the development process, in order to establish the property as a lot of record and to establish any new easements.
The development will be within the Ferris Independent School District.
