WILMER – The City of Wilmer along with the Wilmer Police and Fire Departments invite the entire community to join local first responders for an evening of food, music, and fun at the annual National Night Out event. The celebration will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2026, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Wilmer City Hall, located at 101 Davidson Plaza.
National Night Out provides an invaluable opportunity for residents to meet the personnel who protect their neighborhoods. Public Safety department members and city staff will be on-site with a fire engine and medic unit to display emergency equipment, share essential fire safety tips, and connect directly with local families in a relaxed, friendly environment.
“The Wilmer Fire Department looks forward to National Night Out every year,” said Fire Captain Billy Anderson. “It is a fantastic opportunity for our crews to step outside of emergency situations and connect directly with the residents we serve. We will have our fire engine and medic unit out at City Hall, and our firefighters are eager to share safety tips, show families our equipment, and continue building the strong community partnerships that keep our city safe.”
