GLENN HEIGHTS — The City of Glenn Heights invites all residents to gather for its annual National Night Out event on Tuesday, Oct. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. at 1938 S. Hampton Rd.
Designed to foster positive relationships between residents and local law enforcement, the free community event features:
• FREE food and drinks
• Games and family activities
• Opportunities to meet and connect with Glenn Heights Police Department (GHPD) officers
• Community resources and safety information
• Giveaways and more
Families and neighbors are encouraged to spend the evening interacting with local police officers, first responders, and city leaders in a safe, welcoming environment.
“National Night Out is more than an evening of fellowship,” said Glenn Heights Mayor Sonja A. Brown. “It is an opportunity to strengthen the relationships that make our community safer and stronger. Public safety works best when residents, law enforcement, first responders, and city leaders know one another, communicate with one another, and trust one another. In Glenn Heights, we are committed to building those relationships beyond a single night because a connected community is an empowered community.
“I look forward to seeing our residents come together on October 6 as neighbors, partners, and one Glenn Heights.”
