WAXAHACHIE – On Friday, Aug. 23, officials issued an Amber Alert for Ollie Wiedemann, a 6-year-old little boy from Waxahachie. Police believed he was with his non-custodial parent, Candace Harbin, and in immediate danger. At approximately 6:35 p.m. that evening, the vehicle that had been listed in the Amber Alert was located in a Waxahachie parking garage. The Waxahachie Police Department responded to the location after being advised that there were two unresponsive individuals in the vehicle. The individuals were deceased upon arrival, and were visually identified as the missing child, Oliver Weidemann, and the suspect, Candace Harbin. Later, police confirmed both individuals died in a murder-suicide incident. The cause of death and further details regarding this situation are not being released at this time, as this is an ongoing investigation.
