22-year-old stabbed

FERRIS – On Saturday, Dec. 14, at approximately 8:36 a.m., Ferris Police officers were dispatched to an altercation in the 600 block of Meadow Ridge St. involving Jemyron Tatum, a 22-year-old male, and a 16-year-old male juvenile.

During the altercation, Tatum suffered several stab wounds, and was transported, via CareFlite ambulance to Baylor Hospital in Dallas.

According to witnesses, Tatum was stabbed by what appeared to be a spear tip.

The 16-year-old, whose name is being withheld, was taken into custody shortly after, and booked into the Ellis County Sheriff’s office.
