WAXAHACHIE – One male and one female were arrested this past Friday, Aug. 28 in relation to a large amount of narcotics after the Waxahachie Police Department were part of a multi-agency investigation to execute a search warrant alongside Corsicana Police Department at a Waxahachie address.
Corsicana Police Chief Ronald McGaha said the department’s Criminal Investigation Division executed the search warrant on Friday.
While the names of the two suspects have not been released, it was confirmed that one adult and one young child were at the home when officers arrived with the warrant.
A second adult arrived during the search.
McGaha confirmed the officers recovered 65 pounds of marijuana, 1.77 pounds of suspected ecstasy tablets field tested positive for methamphetamine, 68 grams of suspected counterfeit Oxycodone tablets testing positive for fentanyl, 135 grams of oxycodone tablets, 294 grams of alprazolam tablets and concentrated THC wax and edibles.
Suspects are facing “numerous drug charges” according to police.
Both were booked into the Ellis County Jail.
Reportedly, police also uncovered evidence of extensive financial crimes.
This discovery led police to seize multiple vehicles, and other personal items including jewelry as possibly evidence.
The investigation is still active and more charges could be coming pending additional evidence.
