UPDATED PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FERRIS, TEXAS
 

In accordance with Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code, the City Council of the City of Ferris, Texas, will hold a public hearing to consider the following items:

1. Conduct a public hearing, consider and take action regarding an ordinance of the City of Ferris, amending Chapter 154, Zoning Regulations, of the Ferris Code of Ordinances by repealing Article 154.010A. In its entirety and replacing it with a new Article 154.010A. As it relates to the table of allowed uses; providing a severability clause; providing a repealing clause, and providing for an effective date, and all matters related thereto.

2. In accordance with Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code, the City Council of the City of Ferris, Texas will hold a public hearing to consider and take action on a request initiated by Nicholas Petroff for a rezoning from Residential (R-2) to Commercial Office (CO) for a property located at 103 S Baker, Ellis County, City of Ferris, Texas, 75125, ECAD ID# 162754.

The public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on these requests will be held before the City Council on Wednesday, September 18th, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the Historic Scout House, located at 514 South Mable Street in Ferris, Texas 75125.

All interested in the proposed requests are invited to attend the public hearing and to provide their comments at that time. Comments may also be submitted in writing (or via fax or email) to the City at least 24 hours prior to the beginning of the joint public hearing at the following address:
