PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE 

PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION 

AND CITY COUNCIL

City of Wilmer, Texas

 

In accordance with Chapter 211 of the Texas Local Government Code, the Planning & Zoning Commission and the City Council of the City of Wilmer, Texas will hold public hearings to consider a request for concurrent permanent zoning upon  annexation in accordance with Zoning Ordinance (Ord. No. 12.6.88) Section 7.C. 

“Concurrent Rezoning and Annexation” to rezone the subject property to Light Industrial (I-1) District.  The subject property being described as a certain 39.291-acre tract of land situated in the H.W. Spivey Survey, Abstract No. 1459 and the John Warren Survey, Abstract No. 1593, City of Wilmer ETJ, Dallas County, Texas; said tract being part of that certain tract of land described in a Special Warranty Deed with Vendor’s Lien to COURTLAND DFW IP, LP recorded in Instrument No. 201600040827, in the Official Public Records of Dallas County, Texas and part of that certain tract of land described in a Special Warranty Deed to DFW Inland Port No. 2, LLC recorded in Instrument No. 20080181060, in said Official Public Records and generally located south of Lavender Road, east of Millers Ferry Road, west of Interstate 45 and north of Patrick Pike Road, City of Wilmer ETJ, Dallas County, Texas. Case No. ZC-21-02

The first public hearing on this zoning request will be held before the Wilmer Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.

A second public hearing, and possible consideration/action, on this zoning request will be held before the Wilmer City Council on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 7:00 p.m.

Important Notice Regarding Public Participation at Public Meetings: The City will implement 6-foot social distancing for those in attendance.  The City reserves the right to take temperatures of those wanting to attend and recommend attendees wear face masks, subject to the Attorney General Order GA-034. The City reserves the right to deny public access to the meeting for the safety of its citizens, elected officials, and staff.
