The older I get, the more allergic I am to cold. So whenever the temperature dips below my age number, that is too cold for me.I know some people relish the cold; that person is not me.There are some things that I enjoy being cold. I like my iced tea to be very cold, making it rather delicious.

OBITUARY: Robert Lynn Darling

Robert Lynn Darling, age 71, of Ferris, Texas passed away peacefully on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, with his family by his side.Lynn was born Feb. 26, 1950. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1968-1971 and was a Vietnam veteran.

OBITUARY: Ralph Paul Scaccia

Ralph Paul Scaccia, age 89 of Ferris, Texas passed away Jan. 23, 2022. He was born May 22, 1932 in the Bronx, New York to Alfredo and Assunta (Lobano) Scaccia, Italian immigrants who passed through Ellis Island from Italy. He was the youngest of four children; the second born in the USA.

FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than books (February 3, 2022)

The Ferris Public Library will be having our Annual Black History Month contest again this year. We’ve set up a display of black history books, and flag them in our system to let us know who checked out certain books. So it’s fun to learn history, and it’s pretty fun to win, too!
