OBITUARY: Antonio Rincon

Antonio Rincon was born June 8, 1942 in Dallas to his parents, Jose and Luisa Rincon. He passed at his home in Red Oak on July 11, 2020.  Antonio joined the U.S. Navy and served our country during Vietnam. He worked for LTV in Grand Prairie for 35+ years.

The Ellis County Republican Party heard from several candidates seeking election.  On Tuesday July 7, the event was held outside, there was plenty of room for social distancing, and it was hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk.

WAXAHACHIE – Warnings of hospital beds in Texas becoming scarce has been a discussion the last few weeks in Texas as the COVID-19 cases rise. Late last month, Governor Greg Abbott put a halt to elective surgeries in four counties in the state due to the pandemic.

Wilmer cancels Pioneer Days

WILMER – Much like the fate of the Texas State Fair this year, the City of Wilmer has decided to cancel its Pioneer Day’s Festival for 2020 too. Held in the fall, Wilmer’s Pioneer Days marked its 35th anniversary last year, but this year due to COVID-19 the festivities will not happen.
