Sinkhole forces closure of Malloy Bridge Rd.

FERRIS – A large sinkhole opened Friday morning in Dallas County, shutting down Malloy Bridge Rd.Dallas County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a traffic hazard in the 1300 block of Malloy Bridge Rd. after a caller reported a large hole in the road in the southeast part of the county.

Judge issues flooding disaster declaration

ELLIS COUNTY – Ellis County Judge Todd Little declared a local state of disaster on May 1 resulting from the severe storms and extensive flooding in April.

FERRIS – Ferris High School graduate Tiffany Pace is making not only her mother who passed away in 2018 proud, but the residents in Ferris and Ellis County as well.Pace said she is motivated “every single day,” to make her mother proud.“I work so incredibly hard to make her proud,” she said.

ROISD’s CTE dedicates gazebo built by students

RED OAK – Red Oak High School Construction Tech students and teacher Doug Wuerch have been busy this spring building and installing a gazebo on the back porch of the ESC. A dedication was held for the structure on May 3.
