The annual consumer inflation rate for April slowed down to 2.3 percent, the lowest since February 2021, according to the latest data compiled by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, despite the imposition of reciprocal tariffs by President Donald Trump on April 2 that all of Washington, D.C.
