 It is true that I don’t pay attention to many things in life. I guess I’m just too busy to notice everything.The Gracious Mistress of the Parsonage always asks me why I’m not paying attention. To keep engaged in that argument, I say, “I’m too poor to pay attention. Could I borrow $0.25 from you?

 CLEBURNE – The Red Oak Hawks traveled to Cleburne on Friday, Oct. 17 to face off against the 0-3 Yellow Jackets.The Yellow Jackets didn’t play like a 0-3 team coming into the game and gave the Hawks a run for their money.In the 1st quarter, both teams moved the ball mostly on the ground.

 PALMER – If Whitesboro wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Palmer, they should've done a better job of containing Bulldog quarterback Eric Cisneros.

Milford had won three straight at home, but on Friday night they bumped up to 6-1 to make it four. The Bulldogs’ offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they’ve scored all season. Having lost for the first time this season, Avalon fell to 6-1.

Triple homicide ends at Ennis Buc-ee’s

 ENNIS – It began in Mabank at the Cedar Creek Cove subdivision at around 2:30 a.m. early this past Friday morning.That is when 29-year-old Christopher Kyle Reid Jr., from Hubbard is suspected of shooting three people in Henderson County, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

 WILMER – The City of Wilmer is excited to invite residents and visitors to Pioneer Days, a two-day celebration of community pride and progress taking place Friday, Oct. 24, from 5 to 11 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 25, from noon to 11 p.m. at 128 N. Dallas Avenue.
