WAXAHACHIE – Officials with the Waxahachie Police Department identified the body of a drowning victim late last week as 30-year-old Eduardo Hernandez of Midlothian.
The drowning occurred Wednesday, Oct.20 at Blue Lake, located behind Home Depot in Waxahachie.
Police were called to the scene around 5 p.m. when a 911 call reported a man had gone under water while swimming and had not resurfaced.
Emergency personnel searched until dark for the missing man and resumed the search the following morning.
Divers from Waxahachie and Grand Prairie fire departments were involved in the search.
There is no foul play suspected, according to police.
