LOCAL STUDENT UPDATE: September 1, 2022

Kendal Newton and Ian Palmer of Waxahachie, and Jeanne Boniol of Glenn Heights were among 353 candidates who participated in Stephen F. Austin State University’s August 2022 graduation ceremonies, held Aug. 6 in the Johnson Coliseum in Nacogdoches.

Megan Brand of Midlothian was named to Fort Lewis College’s Dean’s List for the Spring 2022 semester.

Local Baylor University students who received their degrees during four commencement ceremonies May 13-14 in the Ferrell Center include: Kaleigh Wright of Ennis; Rebekah Adderley of Glenn Heights; Reese Alexander, Hayden Brown, Frederick Miller, David Ortiz and Madison Smith of Midlothian; Kathryn Adkins and Emily Autumne of Ovilla; Zoe Clement and Joshua Yax of Red Oak; and Ezekiel Brown, Jessica Buie, Julia Miraflores and Miliani Ramirez of Waxahachie.

Local Baylor University students who achieved the Dean’s List for the Spring 2022 semester include: Kaleigh Wright of Ennis; Reese Alexander, Payton Avaritt and Maegan Brumley of Midlothian; Maya York of Oak Leaf; Cody Sutton of Ovilla; Stefani Little of Red Oak; and Ellinor Bearden, Emmeline Bearden, Ava Chovanetz, Madeline Condor, Cole Creech and Julia Miraflores of Waxahachie.

The following area students received degrees during the 2022 Summer semester at Sam Houston State University:

Landry Nutt of Ennis; Marchayla Burkins and Demi Richardson of Glenn Heights;  Mckenah Reed and Andrea Tenant of Midlothian; and Karleigh Sosebee of Red Oak.
