National Voter Registration Day is Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, so stop by the Ferris Public Library and get a Texas Voter Registration Application. National Voter Registration Day was established by the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) on Sept. 25, 2012. In 2014, the NASS established the Fourth Tuesday of September as the official National Voter Registration Day.

Oct. 4, 2021, is the last day to register for the Uniform Election on Nov. 2, 2021. If you’re not sure if you are registered, you can confirm your registration status by going to the Office of the Texas Secretary of State’s website votetexas.gov then click Am I Registered? Where you can base your search on (1) Texas driver’s license number; (2) Voter Unique Identifier; or (3) Your first and last name. You can see what’s on the ballot on this site, and there is a Frequently Asked Questions section full of helpful information. You may also call the Ellis County Voter registrar’s office at 972-825-5195 to check on your registration.
