FERRIS PUBLIC LIBRARY: More than Books (October 5, 2023)

On Oct. 14, 2023, an annular solar eclipse will cross through our region. It will travel across eight U.S. states from Oregon to Texas. Obscuration over Ferris will be 81.13%. We are inviting friends and families to our upcoming free, educational Solar Eclipse Viewing Party from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. 

We’ve had great turnouts for our Hispanic Heritage Celebrations! Our last one will be Thursday, Oct. 12. Crafts will be from 3:30 to 4 p.m., and the movie will start at 4:15 p.m. We will be showing “Coco” and decorating sugar skulls & making Q-tip skeletons.  

Story Time is hosted every Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Children are treated to stories, fun activities, and a snack. Before leaving, your child may choose a prize from the Treasure Chest to take home. 

After-School Game Time is held each Thursday from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Children can play the PS5 on the large screen in the meeting room, board games are also available.
