Article Image Alt Text

The Ferris Public Library is open to the public! We are thrilled to be able to serve our patrons in person once again.

Our new hours are Monday – Friday 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. We require that you wear a face mask and maintain social distancing of 6 ft. Curbside Service is still available by reserving online. Items are usually ready for pickup on the same day unless reserved after 3:30 PM. If you have any questions about Curbside, call us at (972) 544-3696, and we can walk you through the process.

We are finalizing the schedule for the library’s 2021 Summer Reading Club. It will soon be available. Hopefully, this will be the last year it will be presented virtually.

Services offered at the Ferris Public Library are two-week checkout of popular recently released books and magazines; two-day check for DVDs; E-books and E-audios; public access to the Internet with Microsoft Office installed on all computers with the ability to print and scan; Wi-Fi; wireless printing; copies made and faxing. When “normal” life resumes, we will begin to have in-person programs for adults and children, along with computer classes.

NEW BOOKS: “Faithless in Death” by J.D. Robb, “Neighbors” by Danielle, “Forever Hidden: Treasures of Nome #1” and “Endless Mercy: Treasures of Nome #2” by Tracie Peterson, “Old Bones: Nora Kelly #1” and “The Scorpion’s Tail: Nora Kelly #2” by Douglas Preston, “In Search of Wisdom” (Dewey 223) by Joyce Meyer, “Hunt, Gather, Parent: What Ancient Cultures Can Teach Us About the Lost Art of Raising Happy, Helpful Little Humans” (Dewey 306) by Michaleen Doucleff, Ph.D., and “Martha Stewart’s Very Good Things” (Dewey 640) by Martha Stewart.
