WEEK 1: Forney 64, Crandall 10
FORNEY – Quarterback Kyle Crawford had 252 total yards and five touchdowns as Forney defeated Crandall at City Bank Stadium.
Forney opened the scoring midway through the first quarter as Crawford connected on a 3-yard pass to Kofi Eduful. The early advantage held through the first half, as Javian Osborne closed out the second quarter with a 50-yard scoring reception to give Forney a 25-point lead. Osborne finished the nightwith 145 total yards.
Ismael Lizerdi got Crandall on the scoreboard with a 32-yard field goal early in the second quarter. Crandall didn’t score again until the game’s final minutes when Kayson Rhea scored on a 1-yard rush.
Cameron Carter had 120 yards rushing and two touchdowns in backup relief for Forney. The Forney defense held Crandall to just 95 yards rushing and forced two turnovers in the win.
