SEPTEMBER 2: Midlothian 28, Ennis 10
ENNIS – Chad Ragle rushed for 133 yards and Michael Garber added 114 as Midlothian’s rushing attack tallied 382 yards in a 28-10 win over Ennis on Friday night.
Midlothian (2-0) took advantage of four turnovers by Ennis (0-2), all of which were in Midlothian’s territory. Midlothian defensive back Roman Parham intercepted an Ennis pass and recovered a fumble late in the fourth quarter to stop two second-half drives.
Midlothian’s Cole Martin recovered a fumble on Ennis’ first drive of the game at the Midlothian 23-yard-line. Midlothian capitalized on a 12-play, 77-yard drive, capped by a 4-yard touchdown run by Ragle.
Midlothian recovered an onside kick, which led to an 8-yard touchdown run by Drew Wendel for a 13-0 lead. A 42- yard Jamarion Wafford touchdown run made the score 13-7, but De’ago Benson answered for Midlothian, finishing a 15-play drive with a 3-yard touchdown run.
In the third quarter, Ennis’ Lamarion McGowan fumbled a reception at Midlothian's 18-yard line. Midlothian’s offense ate up seven minutes of the third quarter on 15 plays.
