OCTOBER 21: Midlothian 39, Lake Belton 37

MIDLOTHIAN – Midlothian quarterback Chad Ragle scored a heroic 2-yard touchdown to complete the comeback victory over Lake Belton 39-37 on Friday at Midlothian ISD stadium.

Lake Belton (7-2, 5-2 4-5A) scored on every drive of the game up until the fourth quarter. Quarterback Connor Crews led the way with 332 passing yards and four touchdowns on 26 completions.

Midlothian (8-0, 6-0) trailed 37-27 heading into the fourth quarter and looked like they were out of the game until Ragle threw an 8-yard touchdown to receiver Bryant Wesco. Ragle finished with 171 total yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The ensuing PAT try was blocked, leaving Midlothian down four points with 9:11 remaining.

With 5:32 left, Crews threw a 31-yard pass to five-star receiver Micah Hudson that was stripped and recovered by the defense on the Midlothian 8.

Midlothian scored six plays and 92 yards later.
