The Red Oak lady Hawks varsity basketball team dropped their 2nd district game to the Lady Panthers from Midlothian.
On Tuesday, Jan. 15 they lost an overtime game at Cleburne 64-61. On Friday, Jan. 8, they battled a very good 5-3 Midlothian Lady Panthers team and were simply out played.
The Lady Hawks uncharacteristically struggled to find baskets in the 1st half the game. They normally shoot lights out. The Lady Panthers made it a tough go on the inside game not allowing easy baskets most of the game.
The Lady Hawks did get close in the 4th period using their full court press and coming up with a few steals and easy layups, but struggled finding the bottom of net from outside and lost 36-47.
Red Oak remains 1st in district play and host Joshua on Tuesday, Jan. 22, and travel to Ennis on Friday, Jan. 25.
