WAXAHACHIE – Waxahachie running back Jayden Becks rushed for 162 yards and two touchdowns.
Waxahachie (5-3, 3-2 in 11-6A) trailed 17-14 but took the lead on a 12-yard pass from Roderick Hartsfield Jr to Jaelyn Davis-Robinson. Then Calvin Simpson returned a blocked kick 68 yards for a touchdown.
After a quick stop, Becks scored a 17-yard touchdown with 5:46 to go.
Hartsfield threw for 119 yards and a touchdown and added 46 on the ground with two rushing touchdowns.
Mansfield’s second-half scores came off a blocked punt safety and a late 75-yard touchdown run by James Johnson.
