As I write my column this week, I want to remind everyone you are the creator of your reality.
Look at how you see the world – and remember that’s exactly what the world will reflect onto you.
Do bad things happen to good people?
Yes.
Good things happen to bad people too.
It does seem the world is in a bit of chaos at the moment.
Yet that doesn’t mean your world must be in chaos too.
The fearful narrative by politicians and media has been chipping away for years making big bucks on doom and gloom – when did you realize it was all just a game?
I enjoy social media daily, yet I also look at the people who post happy versus the doomsday – and the happy wins every time.
And the happy people realize they don’t have to play this game, eject now.
At the very least do your own research these days. Don’t listen to me or anyone else, but REALLY, REALLY, REALLY don’t listen to mainstream media.
Look beyond the veil.
When I’m talking to someone and they throw up information taken from fake media sources my eyes glaze over – the conversation’s over.
In the world of games, the media, politicians, celebrities are big players. Of course they are – they get paid a lot of money to set the mood of the sheep.
This column is not always roses and sunshine either, but take it as research and then do some more. At that time you’ll be on the road to recovery.
Let’s look at the redistricting mess in Texas.
The blue people have dug in their heels feeling very morally righteous that they’ve fled the state for democracy.
Except, the United States is a Constitutional Republic – with a constitution that is the supreme law of the land.
To that end, the government’s power is meant to protect individual rights. Now stick with me – give me a show of hands how many Americans these days believe they have individual rights?
Was being forced into home prison during a pandemic in which the cure has – to date – killed thousands, was that individual rights?
What about law after law being mandated by our government representatives who long ago forgot (it seems) they’re officials elected to work for the people – not the other way around.
If you’ve not done so lately, pull the curtain back and smell the dank air of fear and emotion that the media and those in charge have been getting away with for decades.
I understand the blue people are outraged about the redistricting. However, just for kicks I want to remind those same blue people that Illinois is massively gerrymandered to the benefit of the blue – so why would the Texas Dems head there to create a positive narrative?
It was not a good look.
And did you know there are at least eight states that have no red Congressional districts at all; Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Hampshire, Hawaii, New Mexico, Connecticut, and Delaware.
And I love the fact the Massachusetts governor is talking about redistricting? What is this about Maura? You are blue and your state has only blue congressional seats? Are you planning to add a red one?
And is Pelosi’s errand boy Gavin Newsome threatening to redistrict California?
How is he going to do that – counting more illegals?
If I were him, I’d keep my head down and my mouth shut so as not to draw unnecessary attention to the illegals already counted.
I had an idea a few weeks ago, and I’ll be darned if Trump didn’t steal it.
You might remember I suggested that if the numbers were undercounted, overcounted, miscounted and any other counted wrong in the 2020 census, (it seems Americans are not very good at math or instructions on counting) perhaps a mid-decade census is in order. The good part about that would be no more yapping about mid-decade redistricting.
Trump said last week he has instructed the Department of Commerce “to immediately begin work on a new and highly accurate census based on modern day facts and figures, and importantly using the results and information gained from the Presidential Election of 2024. People who are in our country illegally will not be counted in the census.”
I know the blue hate him, so they’ll hate this idea and rush forward with emotional pleas based on fear.
Fair enough – you hate Trump. But, aside from the extreme cost of a mid-decade census why wouldn’t accurate numbers be a better idea than the fairy dust being used now?
I know, the victim-minded will have good reasons why the new census will not be fair. They’ll say it’ll be counted wrong to push the Republican agenda and gain additional seats in Congress.
Therein lies the rub – nothing will ever be a good enough idea. The ego will always convince you if it was not your idea or your party line then it is not a good idea.
As for the red, they aren’t perfect either.
On that side of the aisle a bit of compassion could go a long way, particularly when emotions are running high.
And I will say while the blue has been spending a lot of time in their cry rooms lately, what have the Republicans been doing?
Remember the Lt. Governor in Texas (I thought he was an SNL skit) dear Dan Patrick throwing THC bags of gummies and threatening to take the rights of the people of Texas away on the premise of helping the children. Or did he mean the alcohol lobbyists?
And one more tidbit – the Texas Democrats were saying after they fled the scene in Austin: “Come and Take it.”
Turnabout is fair play, so now Texas House Speaker Dustin Burrows is saying the same to the blue people. They will not be getting their paycheck electronically deposited anymore. They must “Come and Get it” as in their paycheck in paper form. And they’ll then be required to stay in Austin and work too.
George Orwell wrote, “The further a society drifts from the truth, the more it will hate those who speak the truth.”
We all know the truth deep down in the soul part of us. Now it comes to a matter of being too lazy to do anything, expecting the government to do it instead, too tired because the system is wearing you down, or too uninformed because you’ve allowed the system to brainwash you.
Change involves deciding the narrative you are living by is not working.
Learn to say NO to anything that takes away your freedom. Think smart devices, security cameras, poison food, pharmaceutical drugs, digital currency, weather manipulation, taxes, runaway politicians, broken systems, or even emotional kneejerk responses to events the media tells you to believe.
It doesn’t matter who the POTUS is, or the ruling party in the US, or even the district lines being redrawn. What really matters is, “does it make me happier in my life” and if not, remove it.
Remember, if the government says “I’m here to help” or “this is a good idea” walk away. Not in anger or attitude but with the realization you know the game – and you don’t want to play it.
