FERRIS – After getting blown-out by Sunnyvale 52-34 on Sept. 11, Ferris demonstrated resilience and scored a homecoming win Friday, Sept. 18, beating Wills Point 46-14.

Sophomore quarterback Tristan Cook completed 8 of 14 pases for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Running back Zion Neal led Ferris’ rushing attack with 235 yards on 26 carries and 4 touchdowns.

Wide receiver and defensive back Kreshuan Waters had 4 receptions for 58 yards.

Ferris (2-2) has a bye week, then faces Sulphur Springs in a district matchup at 7 p.m. on October 2.

Meanwhile, Wills Point (0-4) will face Canton at 7 p.m. in a non-district game on Friday, Sept. 25.
